The band was not able to achieve major success in the United States but earned huge international recognition, notably in Japan. Following lessons in voice she released her solo debut album "Out for Blood" and followed it up with "Dancin' on the Edge". Ford's albums were not very successful, so she disappeared for a few years. The smash hit album Lita, released in 1989, served as the catalyst for her comeback. the single "Kiss Me Deadly' and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" have been hugely popular. She disappeared from the world of music for several years following her sluggish popularity. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995 and then a couple of years following, "Wicked wonderland" came out, and she was back. Her latest album, Time Capsule was released in 2016. The singer was honored with The Certified Guitar Legend Award by the Guitar Player Magazine.
